Our Parish Mission Statement
Church of the Ascension is a Catholic community in Johnstown, Ohio that keeps Christ at the center of our hearts, families, homes and parish, so we can live the truth and share it with others (John 14:6; 1 Peter 3:15). With the help of sacred scripture, tradition, and the sacraments, we strive to know, love and serve God in this world, while encouraging others to do the same, so we may live eternally in heaven with Christ, the angels, and the saints (Ephesians 2:4-8).
Church of the Ascension is a growing community of devoted Catholics located in Johnstown, Ohio. We welcome visitors to our community, but if you are ready to register with us, please let us know! We're excited for you and your family to join us!

Little Disciples of Lent
Join us Thursday, 3/12 at 10 am for a fun-filled adult and me class!
There will be time to socialize, story time, craft time and time to pray.

Messiah Study Starts Feb 20 & 23
Class offered on Friday mornings 8:45-10am beginning Feb 20th or Monday evenings 7-8:30pm beginning February 23rd.

Cost: 2-piece fish meal $13, 1-piece fish meal $9
Payable by cash, credit card and check made out to Knights of Columbus.

Youth Group Social Night Sat 3/21 5pm
Grades 8-12 are invited for a social night. We will have board games, video games and more!

Women of Ascension
Meeting Dates March 11th & April 8th
Saturday, March 14th at 10 am - Sanctuary Cleaning
Join us for a morning dedicated to cleaning as we prepare for the holiday season. Just come along, and we will provide all the necessary supplies.

Knights of Columbus Meeting
March Meeting dates 3/11 & 3/25
“40 Cans for Lent” canned food drive
The Knights of Columbus is taking part in the “40 Cans for Lent” initiative, encouraging individuals and families to donate one can of non-perishable food for each day of Lent. Participants are asked to bring their collected items to church weekly and place them in the drop box located in the narthex.

Join the fun at the church on the first, third, and fifth Sunday evenings of each month from
6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
